Any Medisave contribution in excess of the current Contribution Ceiling will be transferred:

  • If you are below age 55, it will be transferred to your Special Account.
  • If you are above age 55 and have a CPF Minimum Sum shortfall, it will be transferred to your Retirement Account,

Since 2015, the Medisave Contribution Ceiling has been renamed the Basic Healthcare Sum. The limit is now at $52,000 as 1 January 2017.
